MEET THE TEAM
DIRECTOR
Meet Alicia Lewis, the driving force behind ADL Attorneys Inc.
Alicia’s legal journey began with her LLB from the University of South Africa in 2016, followed by a year of practical training at a small law firm in Somerset West. Seeking more diverse experience, she wrapped up her articled clerkship at the School for Legal Practice in Cape Town, graduating in the top 3 of her class. Her standout performances landed her best student awards in areas like Attorneys Bookkeeping, Criminal Law Practice, Professional Legal Ethics, and Commercial Litigation.
In 2015, Alicia delved into specialized training, exploring Court Annexed Mediation through DiSAC and Family and Divorce Mediation via FAMAC. She also polished her courtroom skills with Trial Advocacy training courtesy of the Black Lawyers Association.
Following her admission as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, she practiced for a while in Criminal Law and then decided to join Exigent Group Limited, where she led a team managing legal accounts for an international forex company, ensuring compliance with GDPR, Australian, and USA privacy laws.
Beyond her legal endeavors, Alicia wears multiple hats as a savvy businesswoman. She sits on the board of a construction and manufacturing company, which she and her team nurtured from the ground up.
In a bold move in 2020, Alicia transitioned to become an Attorney, driven by her passion for Conveyancing.
While Alicia boasts the credentials to excel in the courtroom, her true passion lies in property law, particularly Conveyancing. Additionally, she proudly holds the title of an admitted Notary Public.
